DISCLAIMER: I received these products from Influenster for review.
I am part of a website called Influenster. You are able to fill out lists to enter to win full size products to test out and review on blogs, vlogs and retail sites. I was happily chosen for the Amuse Bouche Bite Beauty review.
I received 3 different shades of the new lipsticks in the mail. They sent me Pepper, Gazpacho and Beetroot. These colors look absolutely amazing in the tube and when swatched. They are super pigmented and creamy. To me they are a little on the pricey side for a tube lipstick. They are $26 for each. The packaging to me is a little lacking for the price to me as well. Now don’t get me wrong, this price is right in the middle for the cost of a lipstick. I personally have never paid more than $20 for a tube of lipstick. Again, that is just me. You might love them and say $26 isn’t a bad price, especially when the Christian Louboutin ones are $90 (WTF?!) If you want to try them for yourself, you can find them at Sephora. And honestly, if you are ok with that amount of money for a lipstick, then I would TOTALLY recommend these. Let’s get into the nitty gritty of each color.
The first color I decided to test out was Pepper is was a beautiful pinky, mauvey nude. I decided to pair this with a gray smokey eye. It is a super pretty nude for any skin tone and I thought that this color was a great every day nude to pair with almost any makeup.
This is the second color of the three I decided to try. It is a beautiful cool tone red. It seems to have a bluer undertone. I paired this with a nude smokey eye so that the lipstick would stand out on its own. This is definitely a going out color.
The name of this one is PERFECT. It is a purpley cool tone burgundy with blue undertones. I paired it with a smokey eye and it looked phenomenal. This was by far my favorite color of the bunch. I wish I could wear it daily.
Overall, these lipsticks are super creamy and pretty. They do transfer and I felt that it mositurized my lips throughout the wearing of them. I did feel like I was reaching for them to reapply quite a bit but I think it is because I wanted it to have the true color that I put on my lips to begin with. I would recommend these for those of you that are lipstick lovers.
