Recap/tarte Rainforest of the Sea Marine Mist

Hey y’all! Happy Tuesday! Sorry this post is late but it was one crazy weekend. I got to spend it in Texas with one of my best friends like I said before and had a blast. Life’s all about making memories!

Weekend Recap

We did a lot. More than I expected to but I enjoyed every minute. I love going to new resturants and finding cool places that only exist in that city. It’s kinda my thing. Lol. With that said, we ate at this place called Whiskey Cake. It was to die for.

Almost everything has some type of whiskey in it and it was all farm to table, resourcing local farmers. I absolutely love places like that. Not going to lie, but, clearly my diet was thrown out the window.

The next day we went to the Dallas Arborteum and Botanical Gardens. Everyone and their mother was there taking pictures. It felt very “Alice and Wonderland” with all the flowers but it was beautiful and perfect.  I love taking pictures of wildlife and plants. I got some pretty amazing ones that I will have to upload later.

Then we headed to the “grassy knoll” so my friend could see where JFK was shot. Her husband and her are super into the conspiracy theory and wanted to see the tree that people say the shooter was really at. After hitting Downtown Dallas, we headed to Arlington.

I went to the one place I have wanted to go since I was a kid, the home of the Dallas Cowboys. I am a huge Cowboys fan and being able to tour the stadium was amazing.

My friend said the stadium alone would possibly convert her to a Dallas fan. Lol. Hey, whatever works. The stadium is HUGE and completely state of the art. The highlight for me was being able to walk on the field. To be able to put my feet on the same field as the Cowboys play on. It left me speechless and I couldn’t stop smiling.

The tour was about 2 hours and worth every minute. Once we were done we headed to Austin. Along the way we stopped in Waco and found the Dr. Pepper museum. Who knew it was there?! We literally stopped in the middle of the road to take pictures because it was already closed. But only in a small town can you stop in the middle of the street to take a picture and not see anyone for over 10 mins. Lol.

Austin is definitely a cool town and I completely understand the saying “Keep Austin Weird.”

We stopped by theChive offices so I could at least get a picture because of course they were closed at 9 pm.

Afterwards we hung out on East 6th street. It’s an eclectic street with an awesome bar scene. Tons of live bands and good music.

That’s the one thing that other cities has that Miami doesn’t, a laid back and unique bar scene. My kind of place. Miami has more of a club scene and I’m kinda over that whole getting bumped by random people scene. I prefer the dive bar with a good band.

It was a very eventful weekend but those are the kinds that I love and cherish. Memories mean more to me than anything else and that is why I always jump at the chance to make some new ones with awesome friends.

tarte Rainforest of the Sea Marine Boosting Mist

Anyway, since technically this is in conjunction with “Make Up Monday” let’s talk about this amazing spray. I got a 500 point perk at Sephora and I saw the tarte sampler I jumped at it. Which means I got a bunch of sample sizes of the line to test out.

In it was the Marine Boosting Mist and I have been loving it for weeks. I usually spritz my face, the put my eye cream, serum and moisturizer on. It keeps my face super hydrated, to the point that I don’t have as dry of skin as I used to. It has been a game changer.

One thing I found out when flying is that my face becomes a desert. So, I decided to take the sample size with me and sprayed my face before getting on the flight and once during. It made a world of difference. My face didn’t crack of freak out. It was awesome. Sephora’s website says that it is a “complexion boosting mist that helps restore your skin’s natural radiance and hydration. The refreshing setting spray acts as a hydrating mist and primer to help to minimize the appearance of pores, redness and puffiness.” It without a doubt does all of this. It is like a spa day in a bottle. It is a perfect revitalized. Especially living in South Florida the has improved my skin so much in the last few weeks. I already went through the sample bottle and ran out to buy the big one. For me, it is an absolute must have.

Hope y’all have a wonderful week and enjoyed a great weekend!
