Hello From The Other Side

Hey y’all! I know it has been a hot minute since I have written anything. Life y’all. That’s what it is.

First thing that happened that was a little off putting was we had to put one of the dogs down. Out of the three I guess you could say he was mine and it has been a little empty around the house. I fully admit I complained about him being a pain in the ass but at the end of the day I loved that little sh*t. It was determined that he possibly had a tumor in his spleen and we could operate but he probably would not survive. I told my parents they needed to make the decision as to what to do and I would be ok with it either way. It was decided it was best to let him go peacefully. He ate like a king his last couple of days; steak, chicken and ham every time we fed him.

I know there are some people that believe that because I am a hunter I do not have compassion or feel anything when an animal is suffering or passes away. You are entitled to your opinion but in reality pets and food are two different things. My aunt has had a farm my entire life and she harvests from her stock, provided they do not have a name. If they have a name, they are a pet and are not eaten. There is an extreme difference between food and loves. You can think what you want but there is a hole in my heart from him missing and even though I don’t outwardly show it to anyone it hurts every day. So, this took a little bit of a toll on me and I haven’t felt like writing. Even though I have PLENTY to write about. Trust me. Lol.

I have been traveling for family events and whatnot. I feel like every weekend there is a baby shower, a birthday party or some other family function. Who ever thought teachers did nothing in the summer had it wrong. We are the busiest then! Lol. I can’t believe we are already almost into July! Where in the hell did June go?! I swear it just started yesterday.

I have been cleaning and prepping like crazy. I feel like everyone else has Spring cleaning and I do all my cleaning in the summer because that is when I have time. Throwing out (well, giving away) clothes that I haven’t worn in a year, getting rid of materials I don’t need. Spoiler alert – teachers are HOARDERS and I can’t stand being a hoarder. So, needless to say I get rid of a lot of stuff in the summer. It is a control thing. Lol.

Pictures. I literally took pictures of probably at least 30 different products today so I can get back into the swing of thing. I have realized it is not the lack of stuff to talk about but the time to write about it. I truly believed I was going to be able to get a head in the summer and have a bunch of stuff ready for y’all. Nope. I was dreaming. Lol.

Getting back on the horse. After a hectic end of the school year, I have finally been able to get back into the gym and it feels amazing. Last week I was able to get in Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I lifted back, arms and shoulders plus I got a run in on two of those days! Who am I?! Lol. It felt amazing to run, even if it was just a little bit. Today, I got some legs in and I thought I was going to throw up from pushing myself so much but it felt great. You always have to push yourself back in after you have been out for so long.

Just wanted to check in. That’s all for now guys. I am working on tomorrow’s and Wednesday’s posts. I figured I would leave you with a beautiful picture I took at the Dallas Arboretum. Have a wonderful night.
