So as most of you know, I flew out to Kansas to see some friends and get away for a little bit. One of the things I do every time I fly is bring a few sheet face masks and wear them on the plane to make sure my skin doesn’t dry out. There is nothing worse that sitting on a plane for a few hours and then having super dry skin when you get off. You feel sluggish and look like death.
The other day when I was at Ulta I knew I was going to be leaving so I picked up a couple of sheet masks from those deadly little round things but the registers. The implies buys that simple call out your name and you think, “no big deal, they’re small, they can’t be too expensive. Wrong.
Anyway, I pick up the Shining Nature Purity Character Face Art ” Cat Wrinkle Mask.
It is your typically cliche Korean facial mask. It claims “Cat Wrinkle Face Art Mask Sheet by SNP is a tightening and wrinkle reducing face mask that provides an intense supply of nutrition to reinforce skin firmness and elasticity. This resilience and wrinkle diminishing mask supplies concentrated nourishment and moisture to skin for firm and energized skin. Focused hydration of lime water invigorate skin and collagen supplies nourishment for firm and smooth skin. Coconut water effectively replenishes moisture in the body and contains high levels of essential electrolytes and potassium. It is called the ‘liquid of life’ in its pure and natural form. Made with natural pulp for highly concentrated essence to stay on skin longer. Real Animal Mask has a safe color element that does not stimulate skin, and its safe ingredients and new character design is satisfying in its texture and adds fun for a whole new experience!” – According to Ulta’s website because the actual SNP website is in Korean and doesn’t translate properly. Lol.
This mask was SUPER hydrating and had an excessive amount of product in the actual pouch. When I applied it to my face, the mask was DRIPPING with product down my neck. They say you’re supposed to take the extra product and spread it on your hands and neck, I could spread the extra product all the way up to my elbows and down to my chest. There was a ton. It was super cooling and it tingled but in a good way. I will not lie I felt like a complete fool using this mask on the plane because of the character on it. I slapped this bad boy on quickly and counted down my 20 minutes.
Because it was overly saturated it kept slipping down my forehead and into my eyes. I kept having to mess with it to make sure it was properly in place. I can also tell you the lady sitting next to me must have thought I was nuts because she kept side eyeing me. Lol. I would use this one again, just maybe not on a plane. I didn’t see a huge difference in my skin’s tightness but it did feel super hydrated, so that was definitely a plus.
This was afterward and I couldn’t get a good picture because I was trying to be super low key about it. But go out and get one. For $5, you really can’t beat it. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
