Book Nerd

Hey y’all! Today was supposed to be a lazy Saturday but we all know how that goes. Lol. I was hoping to sleep past nine but life had other plans.

I watched two of my babies play today. Let me tell you, baseball parents are COMPETITIVE. Yes, that includes me. Lol. T-ball is like herding cats and 6U is where the boys start taking charge. We won by 1 point and it was INTENSE!

Now I’m sitting waiting for my car to get washed and waxed and I still have to work tonight. Life never stops but it’s fun. Lol.

Anyway, today I want to share the newest book I have been loving.

I read anywhere from 30-40 books a year and sometimes I read 3 at once. (I get bored of the stories sometimes and need to leave it for a little while and then come back. Lol. Don’t ask, it’s the English teacher in me.) I heard a lot about this book and was in Target, so I grabbed it. I always check out the new books at Target because it’s sometimes easier and I have gotten some really good ones from their suggestions. Of course I have certain authors that I read EVERYTHING from. Jodi Piccolt is one of my ABSOLUTE favorites. I love how she tells a story from 5-6 different points of view.

Usually, I stay away from celebrity written books because they aren’t always the best but this one is pleasantly surprising me. Amy Schumer is hilarious.

One of the first chapters is “An Open Letter to My Vagina” and Schumer essentially apologizes to it for mistreating it. She is as funny and unapologetic in print as she is in person. If she ever does a tour, I will be RUNNING to see her.

If you want to laugh your ass off, go grab this book NOW. I’m telling you, it’s completely worth it.

I hope y’all have a great and memeorable Saturday.

– ❤️ Lindsey
