Hey y’all! So here we go with post number 2 in an effort to play the catch up game. I could totally schedule them for the past days and it would show that I posted every day but that is totally cheating. And we are definitely not about that here. Lol. For this post we are going to talk about the Luxie Kabuki Face Brushes.
I was first introduced to the brand Luxie through either Ipsy or Birchbox. I am leaning more towards Ipsy. Anyway, the first brush I got from them was one of their eye brushes. These brushes are soft and amazing. Over Fourth of July, Luxie ran a sale on their kabuki brushes and decided to jump on it to be able to review them.
Sorry it is so washed out. I don’t know what happen and didn’t have time to edit it. Whoops. They come in a super cool gold and black cardboard box. The brushes themselves are made with a pink handle, a rose gold metal connector and awesome synthetic bristles.
According to the website, “The Luxie Rose Gold Synthetic Kabuki Brush Set is a 100% Animal Cruelty Free brush set with high quality synthetic hair bristles that are soft to the touch. With its Vegan makeup qualities from bristles to ferrule this Rose Gold brush set is a must have in your makeup collection. Coated with a revolutionary antibacterial solution for minimal brush cleansing, your brush remains fresh and clean for longer periods of time. The density of the brushes allows for an even application without any wasted product and does not absorb the product into the bristles.”
-Anti-Bacterial Coated Bristles
-Perfect for your favorite cream, liquid, and powder products.

I use this brush to apply my liquid foundations. It definitely does not absorb the product. There is not a lot of fallout from the bristles. I would say maybe every 5th use I find one, if that. Foundation glides on and looks airbrushed. This brush does not leave any streak marks.
Luxie Rose Gold Round Top Blender Makeup Brush 532
I use this primarily for my powdered foundation. I like using brushes more than the sponge applicators that they give you in the packages because I think it looks less cakey when applied. There is hardly any product absorption and it doesn’t really stain the brush.
Luxie Rose Gold Angled Top Buffer Makeup Brush 534
I some times reach for this brush to apply powder all over my face to set it. The brush is dense and covers enough of an area that it makes it super quick to set everything. Again, super soft.
Luxie Rose Gold Pointed Top Kabuki Makeup Brush 536
I LOVE this brush for setting my under eye area for baking the point top of the brush is the perfect shape to get right under the eye and bake the crap out of it. Lol.

This brush works really well for cream contours. Unfortunately, that means I don’t reach for this brush all that often because I don’t particularly care for cream contours and highlighers. But if that is your jam, then this brush is right up your alley.
These brushes are awesome and I have put them to good use. They are $50 for the set which makes them $10 a brush and individually they are about $18. I did get the set for $30 when I got it on sale. I really do prefer their eye brushes over these but they are definitely good quality. The fact that the are 100% vegan is an added bonus. If you are in the neighborhood for some new face brushes, check them out here.
