Well, like always, I am playing catch up. I suck at staying on top of my blog posts. Why the hell am I such a damn flake?! And it is not even like I had a lot to do this weekend. I literally did my make up three times for the fun of it. THREE TIMES! But I couldn’t write two posts. . . Story of my life.

Anyway, today I am going to give y’all a small review on the OUAI Wave Spray. I don’t remember where I got this. It might have been a Play! by Sephora box or it might have been a BeautyCon box. Too many subscriptions to keep em straight. . .

PAUSE: I remember where it came from, I got it from a Play! by Sephora box because I went to the Play! in store event and asked the girl how to use it, not helpful but we’ll get into that in the post. So, keep reading. . .

This is essentially is an oily spray? It is supposed to “create beachy waves, adds volume and healthy shine and provides effortlessly chic style,” according to Sephora’s website. It did NONE of that on my hair. Granted I will fully admit it might be my hair type. I have pin straight hair that literally does nothing unless forced into submission by a ton of product and styling tools.

So, it says that it is supposed to create “weightless texture mist for effortlessly chic, undone hair.” Yeah. . .no. I got nothing but an oily mess. I usually wash my hair every 3-4 days and I was on day 1 on my 4 day wait. After using this stuff, I immediately had to jump in the shower and wash it out. I looked like a greasy mess.

I was truly hopeful reading the reviews because I am always looking for ways to improve my hair and style it. I thought since it said it was good for straight hair it would possibly give me some type of style. Nope.

The other thing that killed me was the smell. The musk was way too much for me. If any of my straight haired girls have a suggestion for a texture or styling spray to make my hair look like it has some type of life, hook a girl up and drop a line!
