Burgundy Smokey Eye

Hey everyone! Welcome to day 7 of Blogmas! Omg! I can’t believe that we are getting through this. Slowly but surely. I have a feeling I am going to fall off after day 10.

Today we are talking about an older palette. The Makeup Geek X Manny MUA palette. I know this palette was sought after when it first came out and was limited edition but I still love it. This is the first time I created a smokey eye and I am so happy with the way it came out.

So, first lets talk about the palette first. . .

Makeup Geek already has some of the best shadows on the market and this palette is no exception. Some of the shadows included are in their normal collection, so, you can get those but there are a couple in the palette that are not available, like Mars. I DIE for that color.

These shadows are the same formula as the normal Makeup Geek shadows and I didn’t see too much fall out, but again I always do my eyes first and move on from there.

Lets get into this smoked out look. . .

I primed my eyes with the Kat Von D Lock It Concealer. I really like using concealer over eyeshadow primers because I feel like they hold on to the product better. After concealing my eyes, I took Beaches and Cream and set my entire lid with it. I also dragged this up into my crease. Then I used Sora in my entire crease to give a good blended base for the star of the show. . .Mars.

On a big, fluffy blending brush I BARELY dipped my brush into Mars and started on the outer vee of my eye. I packed it into that corner and then took a clean blending brush and blended it out from the outer vee to the inside of my eye.

From here I took a flat shader brush and packed Insomnia all over my lid. A lot of people had said you would need to use some MAC Fix+ to get the full color payoff but I didn’t use it and I think it looked phenomenal. Finally in my inner corner and on my brown bone I used Artemis.

Again, sorry for not taking progress pictures. It’s just not my style. I did line my water line with this amazing teal liner. It was by Loreal Paris – Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner in True Teal. It glided on so smoothly and stayed put.

If there are any looks you guys want to see, let a girl know! Have an awesome day. Until tomorrow FitBelles!
